Kicking off the 2026 Maple Season

Kicking off the 2026 Maple Season

We're back and excited to welcome folks for the 2026 maple season at Harding Hill Farm! It feels like a more traditional winter this year with a steady snow cover and some cold temperatures. Our winter has been filled with winter-appropriate tree projects, a small scale timber cut, winter cattle care and maple preparations. In our down time, we've been trying to get as many family ski days as we can - so far we’ve made it to Ragged, Sunapee, Okemo & Jay Peak! The snow has just been too much fun this year. We had a long stretch of near zero temperatures, but milder weather has now creeped in. This has us feeling the pressure to get all our taps in and ready for that first sap run! Tyler, Brendan, and Kelly have all been rotating through the woods - Lempster woods is tapped and Wilmot woods is getting closer every day.

Maple inventory is getting low as we approach the season, so be patient if you don't see your favorite size and grade available on the website. Those in the area can look forward to Open hours at the sugarhouse starting on Saturday, March 7th - 10am till 4:30 pm. The plan is to open every weekend in March and into April if the weather allows. Our biggest event is during NH Maple Weekend, March 21 & 22, when we host a pancake breakfast and BBQ lunch with Scott Brothers for the fourth year in a row. Weather conditions always dictate whether we will be actively boiling. What is the right weather? We want below freezing nights followed by above freezing days with a bit of sun and no wind.
