2026 Maple Season Week Four

Thanks for an incredible maple weekend!

Well I'm a bit behind on my email this week… but there is a good reason for that. We were literally hit by a sap storm this week! Read more on that below. First, I'd like to thank all of you for visiting and supporting from afar during Maple Weekend 2026. It's our biggest event every year, and you all make it special. We have an incredible team of sap haulers, pancake slingers, maple production folks, sugarhouse shopkeepers and parking wranglers that kept everything running smoothly. It was fun to have a group of Paul Smiths College (Tyler is an alumni) getting together over the weekend to make our breakfast/lunch happen. Scott Brothers brought us their passion for cooking once again and it did not disappoint. You can check them out in the summer season in Middleton, MA  or at this website. We can only hope our collective passion for good food and maple syrup is contagious enough to bring folks back next year.

We had our biggest sap run of the season or maybe even EVER this week. That meant two back to back nights/early mornings in the sugarhouse. To date, we have collected 95,701 gallons of sap… we more than doubled our production since this time last week. Van and John we out trucking at all hours of the day and night. We had a record production day Thursday at 275 gallons of maple syrup for the day. On Wednesday, we made 240 gallons. We are now at 2,133 gallons and counting for our season total. This puts us just ahead of this date last year. Fingers crossed we make it to 3,500 or more!

Right now we've got plenty of Amber Rich and Dark Robust maple syrup bottled and on the shelves. Yesterday, we moved into a beautiful Golden, Delicate - take note fancy fans! We're bottling that for the weekend if you are a fan of really light syrup with a great flavor. I'll also make it live on the website. We're open at the sugarhouse again this weekend with tours, samples and plenty of maple gifts - Saturday and Sunday 10am till 4:30pm. Don't forget we have Maple Candy and Cream just in time for Easter!
